This is how it should be currently when the doors open for the second RED from October 18 to 29, 2021 (in the first week the event focus is on presentation events, from October 25 – 29 the event focus is on online events) at Silberburgstraße 5 on the topic of “Efficient Powertrain”. The most important innovation at the “2nd Reutlingen E-Mobility Days” is that Wafios is no longer the sole organizer. Gehring Technologies, with which the company formed an “Alliance for Electromobility” in April of this year, is also acting as an organizer. “We hope for an intensive exchange between experts and representatives of companies,” said Marcell Wardin of Gehring and Tobias Single of Wafios, the two people responsible for the two-week event.
This year, both companies and their partners will be exhibiting pioneering technologies for e-mobility around the theme of “Efficient Powertrain”. In close cooperation, Gehring and WAFIOS are therefore showing the entire manufacturing process of a stator for an electric motor as a production line for the first time. The co-exhibitors round off the program with innovative solutions – from copper wire production to measuring the finished hairpins. The respective machinery for production and quality assurance of the individual components can also be seen. The employees will be happy to provide detailed information on this.
Event partners are Copaltec, Feinwerktechnik Otto Harrandt, WITELS-ALBERT, HPW Metallwerk, TRUMPF Laser- und Systemtechnik and Hexagon. In addition, the wbk Institute for Production Technology of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the PEM of RWTH Aachen University are scientific partners. With its “Electric Drive Production” group, the latter focuses on the realization of economical production of the electric drive train of e-vehicles.
