The so-called tool string is composed of honing tool and connecting piece for the spindle. The revision of the joint kinematics in the entire tool train – in particular the integration of the lower joint in the honing tool – ensures ideal compensation of oblique pull and center offset of the workpiece bore to the machine spindle. The adjustability of the joints ensures an extremely long service life. The newly designed air and coolant supply system of the tool train enables optimum cooling at the machining point as well as in-process measurement on two levels. These technical features ensure that machining tasks with quality requirements in the range of shape and dimensional tolerances 5-10 µm are met. This applies to all surface requirements of our customers that are customary in the market.
