Q-switched solid-state lasers with galvo scanner optics are used as beam sources. Laser sources can be integrated for pure surface structuring, as well as lasers for marking or applying a data matrix code.
If required, additional beam sources shorten the cycle time. The arrangement is made according to the processing task. When structuring bore sections, the beams enter the bore at an angle. When machining flat surfaces, the beam guidance can be normal to the machining surface.
Image processing cameras can be used for quality control of the workpieces. Data matrix codes can be read or the surface can be examined with another special camera.
