Gehring at B2Run in Stuttgart
Yesterday, 15 colleagues from Gehring took part in the B2Run company run, around the stadium of VfB Stuttgart. Under the motto "Move forward together" the brave runners headed to the starting line and completed the 5.6 km
Here is the report from the point of view of our working student and runner Vasilios Myles.
The start took place in the car park of the Wasen area and led over the Cannstatter Wasen to the actual route around the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Already, at the first corner was a classical music band, which provided distraction and motivation. Friends and family also gathered at the sides of the track and cheered the runners on heavily. After kilometer 2, pictures were taken of either exhausted or highly motivated faces. Mine was exhausted
After the section behind the stadium was passed, a DJ provided the necessary motivation by calling out the names of the runners and encouraging them. Then it was only 1600 m, which you had to traverse. At the penultimate turn, a drum band waited, ensuring the right rhythm in the final meters. Towards the end, you had to run around the Mercedes-Benz Museum straight into the Mercedes-Benz Arena. There you were received by a cheering crowd.
It was a successful event through and through. Despite the effort, it was fun to run with your colleagues. At the end of the event, food and drinks were provided to refuel your exhausted energy resources. "Moving forward together" is not just a motto that applies within the work place, but in general. The company Gehring thanks the brave runners and the B2Run organizers for an unforgettable day. Now we are heading towards a new event. Stay tuned.
