MY STORY
GETTING STARTED IN JOB LIFE
In 2011 I did my Abitur at the Gymnasium Plochingen. Afterwards, I wrote my bachelor's degree in sociology and political science at the University of Tübingen. I am currently studying in the "Adult Education" course in Tübingen, which I am expected to complete in September 2017.
WHY A MASTERING AT GEHRING?
As part of my Bachelor's degree, I was able to go through a two-month internship at Gehring in the Human Resources Department in 2015. In addition to administrative tasks, I was already able to deal with areas of personnel development at that time. These topics have fascinated me, which is why I decided to study in adult education. When selecting possible master theses, I came back to Gehring because there were already many points of contact with potential topics for a master thesis in my previous internship. As the most exciting topics were offered to me at Gehring, my decision quickly and unambiguously fell to the master's position at Gehring.
WHAT ARE MY FUNCTIONS AT GEHRING?
Most of the time I am in the company, I deal with the empirical part of my work. I am primarily developing a questionnaire, which is to be answered by Gehring employees. If there is time left, I help with other topics in the personnel development.
WHAT IS PARTICULAR TO GEHRING?
For me, it is particularly important to Gehring that I was able to get to know the company more closely before I started studying in different departments. So I could get a good overview of the departments, which helps me in the work in the personnel department very much.
WHY WOULD I WORK WITH GEHRING?
Until now, I have been received in every department - from the warehouse to the marketing department - in a friendly and open manner. I am very happy about the willingness at Gehring to accept interns and to enable graduation work. I am, and I have always been supervised very well, and I can ask many questions and get the chance to get insights into many different topics.
