MY STORY

GETTING STARTED IN WORK LIFE

After completing my degree at the Realschule Nürtingen, I attended a natural sciences and engineering college in Feuerbach, and earned a physics and technical assistant certificate during my Abitur. This was followed by an internship at the company Gehring, which has been directly integrated into my training.

HOW TO GET TO GEHRING?

A friend of my mother recommended the company to me. After my job interview with Mr. Siegert, he gave me an internship, which led to my education and ultimately to my studies.

WHAT ARE MY FUNCTIONS AT GEHRING?

My studies consist of quarterly practical and theoretical phases. During my first two semesters, I already got an extensive insight into the work preparation, commissioning, purchasing and other departments. During the third and fourth semesters the practice approach was further strengthened. In this phase, for example, my practical work has also been in the construction.

I am now in the sixth semester and I am intensively working on my second study work on the topic "Analysis & Analysis of Lightweight Construction Elements for the use in honing machines".

WHAT IS PARTICULAR TO GEHRING?

Gehring is very special in its performance portfolio. A company, which operates so intensively with honing processes, is something very special. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The trainers Mr. Siegert and Mr. Freitag are strongly committed to their proteges and provide them with an extensive insight into the company.

WHY WOULD I WORK WITH GEHRING?

Working at Gehring is a lot of fun, because I can deal with very interesting topics and deal with many different departments and employees. There are consistently competent colleagues, who help me directly in my studies. Besides, I am happy when I see the results of my work. The results of parts made in the training workshop are immediately apparent, for example.
